I joined the team in the fall of 2005. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Christian Education. I love Bridgeway and have enjoyed ministering side by side with Dave in our twenty years of ministry here. I like being with and rubbing shoulders with Bridgewayites. I have four daughters - Kara, Kaitlin, Bethany, Aimee and one granddaughter, Leah.
My wife Abby and I had been attending Bridgeway during our years at York College until God’s timing put me on staff in October 2009. Though receiving a degree in Political Science, it was my time outside the classroom doing campus ministry that i really began to undertand what it meant to worship God and I have been addicted to leading others into His presence ever since.
At the age of 15 I crossed the line and embraced Jesus as my Savior. Having been a part of the church since the late 60’s, my passion for Bridgeway is to see people not only come to trust in Jesus, but to be ministering to others. Julie is my wife and partner in ministry. Together we have four children and three step children.
GIVINGBridgeway is pleased to announce the introduction of a new tithing option: You can now arrange for auto transfer from your checking or savings accounts (ACH Payments).

We are so proud of our Awana clubbers for their amazing cheerful attitudes. Race-winners and race-losers alike, ALL reflected Jesus in their character!
Though I accepted Jesus around the age of 12, there have been peaks and valleys. I work at giving God my best and love trying to learn more and more about our great God.I didn’t have a church family growing up so I appreciate even more the amazing feeling that comes from having a body of people caring for, loving and praying for you. They really do feel like family. I love telling people about my “come as you are” church family. God has blessed me with Cinda, my beautiful, amazing wife and four wonderful children.
Through the contagious witness of my wife, Vonnie, I accepted Christ into my heart in 1978. My ongoing passion is to see the body of Christ grow spiritually by using their God given gifts for ministry, resulting in a loving and caring fellowship. We have three wonderful sons, one lovely daughter and eight terrific grandchildren.

SERVING AT BRIDGEWAY"Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them..." - Romans 12:6 When you become a follower of Christ, you become a child of God. Among many other blessings, you are gifted specifically to serve Him. Just as our human bodies need all of their parts to function well, the body of Christ needs all of it's parts to work together, each of us offering up our different gifts in service to our Father. We encourage all of our Bridgeway Christ-followers to Live Beyond Yourself and find a place to serve at Bridgeway!

Junior and Senior HighWe exist to create an atmosphere in which young people can bring glory to God in fellowship, service and worship. And to awaken in them the realization that they are part of a generation that God has chosen to do amazing things through. But while the mission itself sounds all fancy, it is the journey that we are most excited about. Filled with everything from general hang out time, to awesome teaching from the Word, to ridiculously fun outings and outreach events, we build relationships with each other and God that will last well beyond high school. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS....How Do I Become A Member of Bridgeway... ?Qualifications Anyone who is twelve years of age and older, who is personally trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Received believer's baptism. Affirms the doctrinal statement of the church both verbally and behaviorally. Personally desires to be committed to Bridgeway Community Church as a local body of believers.Procedure For Admission Complete six months of regular attendance and consistent participation in the life of BCC. Participate in the two Membership Seminars. Submit Membership Application. Take part in a Personal Interview. Sign the Bridgeway Community Church Membership Commitment Public Affirmation. What Is The Significance of Baby Dedication? The Bible teaches that it is the parents' primary responsibility to their children to know and love Jesus Christ (Deut. 6:4-9). Baby Dedication is an opportunity by commit yourselves to that task. By dedicating your child, our church is committing to do all we can to support and encourage you in your role. Why Aren't Babies Baptized at BCC?In the Bible, parents brought their children to Jesus and asked Him to pray for them. The little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them (Matt. 19:13). However, nowhere in the Bible do we see babies being baptized with water. This is because baptism is designed by God for those who have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Children are often baptized at our church, but at an older age, after they make a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and can understand the significance of baptism.Who Should Be Baptized? The Bible teaches that every individual who puts his or her trust in Christ for salvation should be baptized. There are many biblical examples of this teaching. The people who heard Peter's first sermon asked, Brothers, what shall we do? (Acts 2:37). He answered: Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins (vs. 39). Their response: Those who accepted his message were baptized... (vs. 41).CONCLUSION: These biblical examples indicate that the person who has first repented of sin and believed is eligible for baptism. One must first be a believer in Christ to be eligible for baptism. We know that we have come to know Him, if we obey His commands (1 John 2:3).What Is The Meaning Of Baptism?Baptism is a symbol of one's identification by faith with Christ in death, burial, and resurrection.Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We are, therefore, buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life (Romans 6:6-35).The following of an individual into the water symbolized his or her identification with Christ in His death and burial. Similarly, raising that person from the water symbolized his or her identification with Christ in His resurrection and new life.CONCLUSION: Baptism is an outward expression of an inward experience that has already taken place through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.Should I Be Re-Baptized?That depends upon the significance of your first BAPTISM. If you had actually trusted Christ prior to being baptized, there is no need to ever be re-baptized as a sort of second commitment to Him. But if your first baptism was as an infant, you were unable to personally declare your trust in Christ at that time. You should then seriously consider baptism now as a believer. Why Be Baptized?Baptism is a step of obedience for every believer, commanded by Christ Himself. Baptism provides an opportunity for every believer to publicly acknowledge his or her faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism identifies with the body of Christ. Baptism allows us to follow Christ's exampleCONCLUSION: While salvation is a free gift of God's grace alone, the credibility of one's salvation is demonstrated by obedience. Taking the step of baptism demonstrates our obedience to Christ. When Are We To Be Baptized? As soon as possible! The Bible indicated that baptism is one of the first steps anew believer takes. It's not unusual, however, for someone to discover the importance of baptism several years after professing faith in Christ. This person should make plans to be baptized at the first opportunity. How Can I Be Baptized? It's actually very simple. Personal meetings with the pastors are scheduled for those interested in baptism. These meetings enable you to not only learn more about baptism, but also enables you to share in a comfortable setting how you came to begin a personal relationship with Christ. Within a few weeks following these meetings, there will be an opportunity for you to be baptized as part of a regularly scheduled service.
As a child I accepted God’s gift of salvation and I’ve never gotten over that moment of illogical love and extravagant grace. My passion is to love, lead, and feed Bridgewayites with radical abandonment. Bridgeway truly is the perfect church for imperfect people. I’m glad for this because I am the chief of imperfect people. We’re also a come-as-you-are place because we’re related to a come-as-you-are God! God has blessed me with my bride, Susan, four gorgeous daughters and one huggable granddaughter.
